Since it was moved from Akagi shrine to Tajima forest (now Waseda Tsuruma-ki-cho) this shrine's festival has watched over and protected the land for over 700 years.

Akagi shrine was turned to ash by air raids during WWII. Even though it was later rebuilt, the Kagura Hall hadn't been restored until 2010. Presently there is also café built and is loved as a place for the neigh-borhood to mingle.
