Dancers of jazz, hip-hop, folk and other kinds of dance come from all over the world to gather by the Japan Sea for this large-scale festival. One great appeal for spectators is that over 10,000 different dancers come and gather here.

Intense dances are on display on Niigata city's main shopping street and in the tourist facility. Since its start in 2002, every year the spectators increase. It is now become a tradition that reminds people that autumn is near.
