Japan is a place wherein each area you can feel the movement and change of the seasons by the color of the flowers-it is a country graced with a natural beauty. When one goes through the famous Manyoshu or the old Haikus and Tankas, you’ll find that many lines penned down are about flowers. Ikebana also, originating in Japan, is part of this culture from long ago...and so it is easy to understand why we Japanese have had a fondness towards the local blooming flowers and so give thanks to nature, relish the season and live out our lives.
So, how about taking a nice walk through spring, summer, autumn and winter-through a year seeing each area’s beautiful flowers that inspire us. How about casting your gaze upon landscapes that you wouldn’t ever want to miss?
