Japan is a place wherein each area you can feel the movement and change of the seasons by the color of the ﬂowers-it is a country graced with a natural beauty. When one goes through the famous Manyoshu or the old Haikus and Tankas, you’ll ﬁnd that many lines penned down are about ﬂowers. Ikebana also, originating in Japan, is part of this culture from long ago...and so it is easy to understand why we Japanese have had a fondness towards the local blooming ﬂowers and so give thanks to nature, relish the season and live out our lives.
